LAHORE: Adil Hussain, a resident of Skardu, has got gold medal in B.S textile from University of Management and Technology Lahore. Hussain got the medal during the 11th convocation held in UMT recently.
“I’m Adil Hussain and I belong to Skardu,” Hussain told Outpost after receiving the medal.
“I started my educational journey from public school and college Skardu. I then went to Cadet College Skardu.
The young student did his matriculation and then F.Sc securing good grades. After Cadet College, he got admission in UMT Lahore in Textile Engineering.
“From the beginning I was committed to get distinction,” says the student in his interview.
For his brilliant performance, he was awarded with 5 Rector's and Dean's merit award.
My main area of focus was to learn the innovative, creative and entrepreneurial knowledge and skill, says Hussain, whose final year project was about the use of plasma treatment for textile finishing.
“It is very efficient, environment friendly and economical process,” he says of his final year project.
Keeping in view all my contribution and being the topper of his batch, the award committee of UMT vividly nominated him for gold medal. “Like every student, this is the most honourable award for me and I hope this medal would be a motivation for other youth of G-B too.”
Hussain owes his achievement to his family, friends, teachers and well-wishers and hopes to continue it in the days ahead.
