GILGIT: Nearly 300 people on self-help basis worked day in and day out for more than 6 days to ‘temporarily restore’ the channel in Buner valley of Diamer with material support from works department. As a token of appreciation, the government awarded Rs 250,000 to the whole community.
According to the DC, a proposal shall be submitted in one week for the complete restoration of the head works. ‘It needs ‘fast track approval’.
He said two water tankers have been hired at Buner Das for supply of drinking water to the community.
