GILGIT: Mir Ghazanfer, contesting polls from Hunza GBLA 6, has not paid the dues of a house he occupied for years as tenant in Khomer area of Gilgit, sources said.
Mir along with his family lived in ‘Hussain Wali house’ in Khomer for years but left it without paying dues including house rent and electricity bills worth Rs400,000, said sources, which was confirmed from relatives of the house owner.
The house belonged to family of [late] Hussain Wali, a renowned development expert who worked in AKRSP.
“Despite repeated reminders, we have failed to get the outstanding amount so far,” relatives told Outpost.
“How sad, this man is now running elections promising better life for Hunza people. He was legally and morally bound to pay the dues before going out to poeple for votes.”
The relatives have threatened to initiated legal proceeding against him to get their right.
