GILGIT: ‘The Educators’ made its debut in Gilgit – Baltistan with a colourful ceremony, vowing to introduce quality of education in the region.
A project of Beacon house -- The Educators -- is 11 years old in Pakistan but new in Gilgit as it has been launched this year in Gilgit – Baltistan.
Though various classes already in progress, the formal launching took place on Saturday with a colourful programme. It was attended by caretaker ministers including minister information Inayatullah Shumali and minister food Abdul Jahan besides parents, educationists and school management from Islamabad.
The cultural dance, presented by students in the ceremony, enthralls the audience while the drawings also won appreciation from the visitors.
Regional Head of the institution, Ayesha Shoukatullah, who came all the way from Islamabad, promised quality education for the students.
Addressing the ceremony, she said admission for the sake of money isn’t the policy of the institution. She asked parents to cooperate with the management to make the initiative a success.
Minister Information in his speech urged the management to expand the operations into other valleys and districts as Gilgit – Baltistan lacked quality education. He praised the management for introducing The Educators in Gilgit – Baltistan, hoping it will produce better human resources.
The principal, Saba Sulaiman, also spoke on the occasion and explained the objectives which drove the management to launch the project in the region.
