GILGIT: Barjees Tahir here on Wednesday said determination of Pakistan armed forces and law enforcement agencies will not waver with the cowardly attack on the check post of Rangers in Chilas.
He expressed these views while visiting the injured Rangers personnel getting treatment in Gilgit Baltistan. He said that no hurdle in the way of operation Zarb-e-Azb would be tolerated, adding till elimination of last terrorist, war will continue against terrorism and extremism.
He gave bouquets and gifts to the injured personnel and a cheque of Rs 100,000 each from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Last week, the militants attacked a check post of Rangers at night and injured five personnel who are under treatment at CMH Gilgit.
Later in an interview to Gilgit Baltistan Radio, he said that the present government and the prime minister are determined to take every possible step to root out terrorism from Pakistan and chase terrorists till their end. He said that full assistance was being taken from the army to achieve this purpose. – Daily Times
